THE MAKING OF A MOGUL?
Does “AMERICAN HIP-ROCKER”
(Dushon Ex Daniels) have the making of a mogul? That is the question on millions
of peoples mind. From designing and modeling his own edgy unique Luxury Clothing
Brand (Expression 06 Evolution) to
co-starring in an upcoming movie to now creating Hip-Hop music, it seems there
is nothing this man can’t do “I dream with my eyes open” says Ex. He tells us that music has always been a
passion of his but he felt that the building of his Luxury Clothing Brand
should come first then the music. So, he did just that! Built the image of his
Luxury Clothing Brand then released the music. After the great responses of his
first Hip-Hop dance single “Friday Night”
featuring the vocals of 90’s R&B star Montell
Jordan. He received a few calls from L.A. and New York for opportunities to
make his Luxury Brand Expression 06
Evolution the next huge fashion and music power house. Ex then felt before
even concerting one of those opportunities he had to expand his team and bring
in people he could respect and trust, like long time friend DJ LS One and Young Guru.
DJ Ls One has
been impressing individuals with talents as a DJ Manager, Technical Engineer
and (Artist) Tour DJ. Throw in the occasional Music Production credits and you’ve
got yourself a man who’s by far, much more than just your average DJ. DJ LS One has worked with some of hip-hop’s
elite such as Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, DMX and Onyx just to name a few.
Born and raised in Brooklyn New York, “LS” (as he’s called by those who know him)
has been and still is one of the most requested and respected DJ’s on the South
Florida party scene and currently anchors Miami’s hottest, most successful
Upscale Urban Promoter Parties for the last 3 years ongoing. With no signs of
slowing down, he is definitely one to be watched and if you haven’t had the
pleasure of the “LS One experience” then you add it to your bucket list.
Artists need their people. Gimel “Young Guru” Keaton is Jay-Z’s
people. When the rap-conquering MC and mogul steps into the booth, Young Guru is outside manning the board
making sure his rhymes are as audibly correct as they are thought provoking. Since
1999- a staggering twelve years- this has been the way of things. Guru has pretty
much recorded every other A-list MC. Some say he has the Midas touch.
Revered as “The Sound of New York,” Young Guru Possesses over a decade of experience in sound
engineering, production, and A&R for the acclaimed Roc-A-Fella Records and Def
Jam Recordings. Most Recognized for shaping some of the biggest talent in
hip-hop, Young Guru has mixed 10 of
Jay’s 11 albums, and has earned himself a number of shout-outs on Jay-Z’s tracks paying homage to his
exceptional skills behind the boards. Young Guru officially became Jay Z’s tour DJ in 2010. It is an endeavor
well-suited for him, considering his impeccable knowledge of Jay-Z’s discography, and their
long-standing personal and professional relationship. With such a successful
track record, there is no question why Young
Guru is the DJ of choice, the instructor of the creative, and a producer of
timeless music.
Ex would have to be a fool not to involve these two hip-hop
vets in the building of his fashion / music brand. “This is just the beginning!
I’m following the pattern of success on this project, I’m personally going to
be knocking on a few more Hip-Hop vets doors in the next few months” Says Ex. I
guess we will just have to see if Dushon
Ex Daniels has “The Making of a
Mogul”.
