J. Cole‘s video for his first official single, “Work Out”, from his official debut album “Cole World: The Sideline Story”, was premiered yesterday. The video was originally shot in L.A. back in June, but since some edits were leaked, he decided to film new scenes in Brooklyn. The video features Cole on a basketball court with several attractive girls walking by, as his main focus is on one. The track features the young rapper giving his own spin on the bridge from “Work Out,” which was originally from Paula Abdul’s “Straight Up.”
“Straight up now tell do you really wanna love me forever or is it just a hit and run? Straight up I’ll tell you I really just wanna cut when we’re together/ Come here girl, let’s get it on.”
J Cole’s Cole World: The Sideline Story” will be released on September 27.
