BACKSTAGE AFTER A GREAT DJ PERFORMANCE BY JD.

Before continuing his artistic career, Dupri opened a small store, "Rap Corna Guuds". He later formed the teen duo Kris Kross (Chris Kelly and Chris Smith) after meeting the boys at a local mall in 1991. The group's first album, Totally Krossed Out, was released in 1992 and went multi-platinum due to their singles "Jump" and "It's a Shame".

He established his own record label called So So Def Recordings in 1993. Shortly after he discovered female R&B group Xscape at a festival in Atlanta and signed them to the newly minted label. Hummin' Comin' at 'Cha and went platinum. During the same year, on Yo! MTV Raps he met Chicago rapper Shawntae Harris, A.K.A Da Brat through Kris Kross, signed her to his label So So Def Recordings, and released her debut Funkdafied (1994) and went Platinum 1,000,000 units. His finances were not hindered by a distribution deal made with Columbia Records in 1993.

In 1998, Jermaine Dupri surpassed all of his prior commercial ventures with his involvement in the release of Destiny's Childs' eponymous debut album. Dupri renewed the focus on his own music career and released The Party Continues, the lead single from his debut studio album Jermaine Dupri Presents Life In 1472: The Original Soundtrack. Also that year he met Lil Bow Wow and signed him to So So Def Recordings. The two would later part ways but continued to collaborate on later projects. The deal with Columbia was terminated in 2002, and in 2003 Dupri switched to Arista Records. Jermaine worked on Mariah Carey's Christmas album, Merry Christmas II You, as well as with Weezer and Lil Wayne on the song "Can't Stop Partying." He also collaborated with DJ Chuckie to make a vocal version of the song Let The Bass Kick. JD is a true example of American Hip-Hop.

DUSHON EX DANIELS OF EXPRESSIVE CLOTHING LLC INVENTS NEW JEANS STYLE!!

Expressive Clothing LLC, is a clothing company founded 2006 in New York City but it’s based in Miami beach Florida.  The company’s founder and leader designer is Du’shon Ex Daniels. Ex identified the need for a fresh, new and innovative direction for the fashion industry.  Therefore, Ex developed a company that takes fashion to the next level by bringing peoples thoughts, ideas and feelings to life though custom handmade expressive clothing. Dushon Ex Daniels loves the idea of doing things other designers wouldn’t try. So, he decided that he would find a way to screen print across the crouch of his custom jeans.

In this process it kind of got tricky and he stumbled upon a panes  design / function that has been said to have changed fashion for good.
The Side Zipper Patent; is a new jean design / function that changes the location of the original  functional  jean zipper. As soon as Florida Today Newspaper got wind of this new jean design / function invented by Dushon Ex Daniels of Expressive Clothing they decided to pick his brain about the up and coming fashion trends on Florida Today T.V. News.

After that interview aired on T.V. in March of 2010 Expressive Clothing LLC became popular very fast! The orders got too big for Ex to handle so he decided to create a brand that could be sold in the masses but still have that custom luxury feel. That’s when he came up with Expression 06 Evolution or EX.E the brand of a luxurious lifestyle.
The idea for this brand was to take his first custom handmade brand Expression and produce it for the masses. He spent months designing the logos, denim jeans, jackets, t-shirts and hats for the factories to produce the brand. But when Dushon sent his jean design to the manufacturers to get produced, to his surprise they said “your jeans are impossible to make, we couldn’t produce this new style of jean”. He couldn’t except that for an answer so he went and redesigned the jean and when doing so he focused on crouch bouncing, comfortable bathroom usage, and making your front pockets reachable while sitting. This new jean design/ function has been said to have "revolutionized the original structure of panes". After months of working with a seamstress to create a prototype, Dushons new NEVER SEEN before denim jean along with the rest of his luxurious EX.E brand is set to be released in July of 2011.

” The Evolution of Fashion is Inevitable.”

exǝ™ | PHOTO / VIDEO : JOE BUDDEN CAN STILL "PUMP UP" THE CROWD.

DUSHON EX. DANIELS AND JOE BUDDEN
BACKSTAGE AFTER HIS CLUB APPEARANCE  IN MIAMI.

In the year 2003, Budden released his debut solo studio album, Joe Budden. It included Budden's 2003 Grammy-nominated summer hit "Pump It Up", and was also featured in the soundtrack for the movie 2 Fast 2 Furious and the video games Def Jam Vendetta & Def Jam Fight for NY. The song "Focus" was also featured in the game and Joe Budden was also a character. Its second single was "Fire" featuring Busta Rhymes, which was in the movie Mean Girls. The song "Drop Drop" was featured on the soundtrack for the movie Cradle 2 the Grave. Joe has hinted in many songs that he was a recovering drug addict and has reaffirmed his position several times through multiple outlets.

After his debut album, Budden's sophomore release titled ‘The Growth’ was hampered due to the label's problems with Joe and his Def Jam seniors not happy with the direction of his music. The production of the album appeared to end up in a development hell and was ultimately not released. Continued disagreements between Budden and Def Jam forced the two sides to part ways. However, Budden managed to release the first and second installments of  his Mood Muzik mixtape series while on Def Jam, and the series has been met with critical acclaim.

In December 2007 Budden signed a multi-album deal with Amalgam Digital and released his independent debut Padded Room as well as Mood Muzik 3: The Album, Halfway House, and Escape Route.
Joe Budden reached out to Crooked I, Royce da 5'9", Joell Ortiz and Nino Bless for a track titled "Slaughterhouse" on one of his Amalgam Digital releases, Halfway House. Based on the reception of the track, they decided to form a group, minus Nino Bless, and named it after the first song they made together. They released numerous songs throughout early 2009, leading up to their self-titled album, which was released through E1 on August 11, 2009. The album features production from Alchemist, DJ Khalil, Mr. Porter, Streetrunner, plus guest appearances from Pharoahe Monch, K. Young, and The New Royales. The group signed with Shady Records on January 12th, 2011. - (From Wikipedia) Joe Budden is a great example of American Hip-Hop.

"ROCKER" DUSHON EX. DANIELS INTERVIEWS HEAVY HITTERS
DJ E-FEEZY ON SOUTH BEACH IN MIAMI

AMERICAN HIP-HOP DREAMER
HEAVY HITTERS DJ E FEEZY

With all your ingredients laid out on the table all it takes is a pinch of salt to make your meal taste just right. Ingredients equal team and the salt equals Dj E-Feezy. A team player since birth Dj E-Feezy has elevated his game every year with all the right ingredients around him to make him just right for any fit. Birthed in Cleveland, Oh he started djing at the young age of 12 and started radio at 14. It turned into a instant love affair between him and his turntables. Like husband and wife Dj E-Feezy's relationship with his turntables and his radio are inseparable.

Making his radio start at WENZ in Cleveland, Dj E-Feezy ran with his love for radio and never looked back. While long in his stride patients was the key. While in college Dj E-Feezy knew that he had to decrease in markets in order to increase for survival in this business. Leaving market 16 to get a college degree he moved to Huntsville, Al to market 182 as a weekend mixer at WEUP. After two and a half years at WEUP he decided to make the move from a independent radio station to a bigger more corporate setting at WHRP a Cumulus Broadcasting company with in the same marketplace. While employed at WHRP under Phillip David, Dj E-Feezy wanted to be more than just a weekend mixer and developed a radio personality. Calm in manner it was almost impossible to imagine him as a radio personality, but after he found his niche it was unbelievable the raw energy he possessed. While nonchalant in demeanor , when he cracks a microphone he is full of extraordinary energy and poise. He literally transforms from night to day in a matter of seconds as he does with in his career.

Although he was a student attending a University , he was also a striving student in learning the music business. Dj E-Feezy wanted to take his career to another plateau and started syndicating his radio show in different markets across the country. You could hear him in southern states such as Alabama, Georgia , South Carolina and Florida. While long in his stride he knew that patients was the key and while he worked and waited Sirius/XM Radio contacted him to air his own show nationally on Hip Hop Nation. In the midst of maintaining college, over 5 markets in the south and being nationally syndicated you would think he was on top of the world. Dj E-Feezy felt blessed, but he wanted to add more elements to his career.

After graduating college Dj E-Feezy moved to Memphis, TN (market 48) to continue his career. This time he elevated from just a weekend mixer in market 182 to a full time radio personality doing over nights (12am-6am). Fresh out of college, graveyard shift was fine for him because it was the experience that mattered. After spending a year in Memphis doing over nights he decided to move to Louisville,KY to take on yet another full time position doing evenings (6pm-10pm) at WGZB. This was a experience of a lifetime and yet another notch in his belt. Moving from weekends to over nights and being nationally syndicated it would be safe to say it doesn't get any better. But for Dj E-Feezy he always wants more and strives for more. While in Louisville, KY Dj E-Feezy took his radio career to another plateau by mixing for the nationally syndicated Russ Parr in the Morning Show broadcasting out of Washington, DC. With Russ Parr being syndicated in over 20 radio markets simultaneously in the US, you could hear him in the mornings and in the evenings on terrestrial radio and Sirius/XM radio. This national attention made headlines and spark the interest of the nationally respected crew The Heavy Hitters lead by Hot 97s afternoon jock Dj Enuff. Dj E-Feezy joined the Heavy Hitters and the rest is history in the making.

With all the ingredients in place Dj E-Feezy is the complete package as a dj and businessman. He can do it all while expressing great ethics in team work and hustle. With undeniable experience in the music business you would think E-Feezy is old in age,but still he still remains in his twenties and steady moving forward in this great business. Radio, club or corporate settings Dj E-Feezy is just the right element you need with in your ingredients to create a successful team. You can catch Dj E-Feezy, Monday at club BED, Tuesday at SOBE, Thursdays at MANSION, Fridays at DOLCE, Saturday at DREAM and Sunday at STK.

GIT FRESH DROPS THE "BOM BOM BOM" ON SOUTH BEACH!

DUSHON EX DANIELS AND GIT FRESH
BACKSTAGE IN MANSION AFTER THEIR PERFORMANCE

In a time where cultures are merging more than ever, diversity has enriched our world in many ways, especially in the form of music. Hailing from three distinctively different backgrounds, the members of I.M.G./ Def Jam’s Git Fresh have made a name for themselves by seamlessly blending their backgrounds to create a super group that is determined to change the face of popular R&B.

“Together our cultures combine and give us a different sound and a different look than you would see in a typical R&B group,” Penny. “We all come from different backgrounds,” Rude Boi. “Me, I’m African American. Pretti Sly is from South Africa and Penny is White. Each member’s influence on the group is different.”
Hailing from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Penny and Rude Boi met in high school at the Dillard School of the Arts. There, they studied various performing arts including musical theatre and vocal training. “Our school was predominantly Black so that developed my interest in hip-hop and R&B and helped my swag,” says Penny. “We had a gospel choir in our school that I was a part of and that was really a big help in me learning different vocal arrangements and chords.”
Meanwhile, Rude Boi met up with Pretti Sly soon after he relocated to the US from South Africa. “As soon as I got here, I met Rude Boi at a talent show and we decided to form a group with Penny” says Sly.
In their first years of high school, the boys created the group Deep Side and instead of keeping their combined talent under wraps, they planted themselves in the center of the teenaged universe. “Every Saturday and Sunday we used to be just performing inside the mall,” says Rude Boi. “If we’d see pretty girls walking by, we’d stop them and sing for them.” The guys also entered local talent shows, where they were approached by their former manager who was their first ticket into a legitimate recording studio.
Not long after, Deep Side was invited to perform in Chicago at R. Kelly’s birthday party. At the time, they had recorded a song called “Shook” which was getting radio play in select markets. R. Kelly was thoroughly impressed by the young group’s performance and connected them to his A&R Wayne Williams who was signed the guys to their first label deal. Two years later, the group decided to leave the label and break ties with their former manager and head out once again on their own.
In 2008, the guys moved to Atlanta and wrote and recorded “Booty Music” under their new group name, Git Fresh. The highly addictive hit quickly picked up hundreds of spins in major markets across the country. It wasn’t long before the boys were fielding calls from multiple major labels. Although they incited a multi-label bidding war, Git Fresh saw the most prosperous future with Def Jam Records.
“We went into L.A. Reid’s office and we performed two acapella songs for him and he was sold after that,” says Rude Boi about Git Fresh’s audition for the Island Def Jam Chairman. “I remember jumping on L.A.’s desk! He told us we weren’t leaving New York without signing to Def Jam.”
Git Fresh solidified their deal in the beginning of 2009 and quickly got started recording their debut album. Around the same time, they also joined Strong Arm Management, who also manages hit maker Flo Rida. Git Fresh’s first single, “She Be Like” is a fresh take on Suzanne Vega’s hit “Tom’s Diner” where the guys ride through the club popping bottles, while “What’s Your Favorite Place” finds them singing about their favorite places to entertain their lucky guests.
On “Earth, Wind, and Fire” the boys express their love over a moody, up-tempo track that leads into “Singin,’” a playful song that talks about mattress springs overpowering their mood music during a raucous love making session.
“We like to go out and have fun,” says Rude Boi. “That’s who we are. We’re young guys in the prime of our lives and our album is definitely a party album, it’s all about the ladies. We don’t even like to consider ourselves as R&B, we just make good music. The sound is new and fresh, it’s something that you wouldn’t expect to hear from a three man group that’s just crooning.”
Combining their different backgrounds and experiences, Git Fresh has managed to find a perfect musical balance. Citing Michael Jackson, Jodeci, and Sam Cooke as influences, Penny, Rude Boi and Pretti Sly all bring a valuable piece to their collective puzzle.
“We have a lot of different styles—a lot of crazy melodies and different influences that you’ll hear in the music,” says Rude Boi. “We could sit down in front of you and sing harmony all day or we could sing a club song so I like to think the group is extremely well rounded in that way.”
